Double butted then, and I honestly don't think there is any type of advantage gained with a lighter spoke on the nds. But, weight isn't a concern for me either.
Those that suggest it say that it's about similar elongation (to the DS) under lighter tension, thus less likely unload and break. Sounds like it makes sense, just don't know how it works in practice.
