Restore Volkscycle Mark X

Hi all,

I haven't been posting for a while, so I though I share my latest restoration.

I picked up a Volkscycle, which was in rough shape. I didn't take before pictures, but the chrome and everything that is not metal had aged.
The frame is nice. I love the chrome which cleaned up well in Oxalic acid bath.
All the component were striped and went in a bucket of that magic stuff overnight.
The chrome wheels also but in sections for 45 angles. The rear socks and fork were also treated. The stuff really works. It tarnished some of section of the rim because I left if wet as I rotated the wheel. I need to be more careful with drying the parts as soon as they are removed from the bath.
The main challenge was the cotter crank. I manage with snap off the nut on the one side as I was putting it back. I was tough to find the same size and chamfer, but eventually managed after visiting not so local bike shop.
Anyway I was pleased with the final result. I don't know what to do with the bike as it is a bit small. It rides well.
Enough words. Here is what you guys are waiting for:
