But many people did take up riding for that reason. You can't validate your reasons for riding without validating theirs as well; just because the reasons are different doesn't mean they're any less valid.

For you. For me, the bike is my vehicle for fitness and health. If I don't ride I feel bad, I get fat, my blood pressure rises, and I get angry and filled with stress; that ain't a game, brother.
