A zombie reply perhaps, most of the 80+ people I know are "old fat people", at least by BMI standards. Seems like that extra weight gives them staying power. But a pretty sedentary bunch mostly, they've given up exercising for sightseeing and TV. My comment was about those who are still out there riding, those I see are smaller frame, shorter riders...and been that way their entire lives.

The number of big, muscular, fit guys riding into their 70s, I can't think of one. They're playing golf. Speculating, I think the risk of serious injury in a fall, crash seems more present to this group.
