This is cool - map your commute.

I found a link to this site in another thread here, it uses google maps, and adds the ability to plot your own routes.

Here's my commute

Well, that's part of it, anyway. There's 11 miles of commute that come from the west and intersect that map at the lower left corner of the plotted route (at the bridge near "Raley Field"). Once I cross the bridge, I have two choices:

1) through the park - the top branch of the plotted route.
2) Through town - the lower branch.

My work is on the Cal. State University Sacramento campus, right next to the 10 mile marker. This is a cool utility for comparing various routes. You can see that the 10 mile route along the bike path in the park is a lot longer, but it also avoids traffic and has pretty trees, which are obvious when you turn on the satellite view.

I thought it was fun to play with
