Iron Horse originally was a small company on Long Island---I think Centereach or some place out there. They sold some decent bikes for short money up until they went bankrupt. I think their frames were built in Taiwan. Then one of the big players---I think Pacific Cycle---bought the name and turned it into a Wally World special. I don't think that they make road bikes any more.

Back around 2007, you could get an Excelsior Race with full Ultegra and a standard crank for about $1300.
