I am not a fan of ighs for a variety of reasons but the torker is a decent inexpensive hybrid.
Love my IGH for Winter. Use a derailleur bike Spring through Fall.

Find myself a little disappointed with the noise from disc brakes when they get wet or contaminated. Adjustment can also be a little fussy. Rotors can warp or bend, - even rust.

Roller brakes really shine from a quite and ease of adjustment standpoint. They're certainly not obsolete and can be a great choice depending on the application. Neither are they the best choice for everybody. They're heavy and don't have the stopping power of discs. The grease gums up in cold temps which can slow you down.
