I can top that. Sometimes when I'm fixing my bike, people (about 80% women) just offer me a ride. If conditions are bad enough, they pull up alongside and offer me a ride even if I'm pedaling just fine. No need for lipstick.
Help is very easy to get if you need it and there are other people around. When I was much younger and dumber, I went out inadequately prepared all the time. One time, my chain broke in the middle of nowhere. I hitched a ride to the nearest town and then panhandled to get money to buy a chainbreaker. Within 5 minutes of starting my panhandling, a nice woman not only gave me enough for the tool, but insisted on buying lunch as well.
