This is a good reason to carry more than one spare tube. Patching doesn't work nearly as well in wet. It's even more fun if it's dark and cold as well.

I know pumps can fail (though they usually give some warning) but holy smokes -- 5 CO2 plus pump? I see a future 'bent rider. All he needs is 5 gallons of water.
