Depends.

I don't live in goat head country. If I did, I'd get lots more flats.
I don't ride in urban areas very much. If I did I'd get lots more broken glass flats than I do.
I'm not worried about the last increment of tire performance so I use puncture resistant tires. Otherwise, I'd get a few more flats.
I don't ride in the rain much. Rain = more flat tires.

Whenever I've gotten more than one flat on a ride, the second one has always been my own fault. The last time that happened I didn't find the flint that caused my first flat and was rewarded with another after only 7 or 8 miles. I can't remember the last time previous to that when I flatted. YMMV.
