Fwiw, the light from the motorcycle guy was like a big white car lamp, the fact that it looked like a car's light on the helmet got my attention a lot, looked very effective, right on the spot.

back of his helmet? Hmmmm... FWIW, in my part of town, traffic infractions that motorists or motorcycles may commit have penalties in the $65 - $150 range. Bicyclists committing the same infractions have penalties that start at $200 and I don't know where they stop. I have heard of $300 fines for missing equipment like flashers. And the only legal flasher for the back of a helmet is a red one so... you go ahead. Track down that big white car lamp and rock it for awhile, till you get noticed. Let us know how it goes.
