What? No, not a police searchlight, it looked like the regular back light of a car or an SUV, not blinding or anything. I guess it looked 'potent' not because of how bright it was, but because it resembled a car light (non-flashing lamp). And it was on the back of his helmet, so it gave the illusion that it belonged to a big pickup truck or a big car. Definitely noticeable, but not uncomfortable to drivers. I thought it was very clever.
*Then again it was a motorcycle, so that lamp perhaps was powered by the motorcycle's own battery? Not sure if that would be feasible on a bicycle.
Any other options out there worth looking at? Those Nite Flux seem like having a long waiting list..
There is a relatively new product on the market- it is a helmet that has front and rear lights incorporated into it. A lot of people tend to dismiss them due to the lack of ventilation-
