Sirrus is OK, but not, IMHO, the best choice. The Fuji, Cannondale and Trek 520 options already listed are good ways to go. Sometimes you can find an older Bridgestone or other "vintage" for a good price. If you are in Canada, Urbane Cyclist in Toronto makes a nice, affordable steel touring bike.
