Now that I am LBS-employed the low low price of a cross check is quite enticing.
Not to mention it sounds like the perfect do-everything utilitarian bicycle frame.

My planned build is a mix of old and new, so I'm curious to see any C&V takes on these that might be out there: who rides one?
Please share even if it is stock, or very similar modern bike but not made by Surly.
