Things tossed from the overpasses are well-known hazards to Greenway riders, said Ditlefsen. He said he knows someone who had a grocery cart tossed at them. Luckily, it missed.
If it's that common it would seem that the police department could afford to do a sting operation now and again. Then again, a group of cyclists doing a sting might be a better deterrent. Of course I would hope they would make sure no one is on the path before they toss the perp. onto it.
