Oh no, I do. I was posting out of experience, heh. But only if I can do so without blowing up right after I pass and wind up looking like a tool.

The other night I was out on one of my routine rides and I spied a pair of riders going into the "last big push" of the ride. So I took my own mental bait and started hammering. I passed them out of my saddle in my big chainring with a hearty "On your left, fellas!" and kept hammering over the last little rise and down the backside. At the bottom, I turned left and - with shaky legs - began the last little climb before home. I felt victorious...

...only, at the top of that last little climb before home, they pair of riders caught up to me and started chatting with me. My legs were done at this point, but... I mean... I couldn't be all "no, no, you guys go on, I'm going to sandbag for a while" after pulling my little stunt. So I sacked up, rode with them at their pace, chatted with them with a smile on my face, and died when I got home.

Prolly looked like a tool anyway, heh.
