Yeah I do commute in my bike and I also have something like that but in reflective yellow / green colour.

But to be honest these days its sooo cold that I end up just wearing my bike tights (polaris) so getting trousers stuck in gears is a thing of the past for me. I just didn't think of ... not having the cover... when it fell off it felt like an important part of the bike.
