I got my kilo in November and have lost 30 lbs since then and gotten MUCH stronger and cardiovascularly[not a word] fitter. I could have lost more weight but i keep on drinkin empty beer calories and have sort of plateau'd at 250.

It really sucked at first if there was ANY sort of hill or wind or whatever, but the neat thing is every day you get stronger. Grades i used to dread i now just clip along at the same RPM, etc. Literally every week you feel stronger. Keep at it!

One thing i did was pick out cool upgrade parts (i have a thing for gold anodized) and tie them to weight loss goals. I got myself a gold Miche Supertype seatpost for losing 30 lbs, if i buckle down and get below 250 i "earn" a Miche crank (gold, natch). This is not a way to save money, per se, but motivates me. If i get below 240 i'm buying a Nitto track drop bar (guess what color) because then my gut will be gone enough i can actually bend to it .
Thanks man!

Yeah, I've been out every day except for yesterday. Only reason because I'm going for a 11 mile ride this morning.

I hear yeah, I sometimes dread going up inclines. I'm already big and out of shape. But no matter how steep the hill I have yet to jump off and walk the bike! I'm proud of that.

I like your reward system. I might try that...

Dude, I wish I could bed to a drop bar. Right now I'm basically leaning back like I'm sitting on a lawn chair because my gut is so much in the way.
