well, if I had a FF camera I'd probably do the same but I only like taking pictures of things that are moving. Landscapes at 10 fps!

I picked up the 17-40 for landscape action because even on a 1.3 body, the 16-35 mk1 is awful once you get more than half way out of the center. f2.8 is still useful though.
