FWIW, I used my Silca Track pump for a very long time, before I realized I was pushing
the bell shaped, air chamber's gasket on too far, up the stem..
now , I put it so it grips the smooth band between the cap thread, and the ring nut thread, and all is well..
easier to remove with air pressure in the hose, & the gasket lasts a long time..
