You're welcome. As mentioned there are two ways to get effectively more reach if you are feeling cramped. I like to stretch out a bit but do not like a low handlebar position. My option therefore is a longer reach stem with only a hint of rise to it which stretches me more out over the top tube and gets my weight forward a bit without too big of drop which I find uncomfortable. You may like this position as well.
The thing about performing mods to your bike is always move from least to more invasive. Least in this case is flip the stem. There is no foul however in removing some of the spacer clearance under your stem and trying it. You may prefer a longer stem and keep your current handlebar height...stems are relatively inexpensive on e-bay.
