I had a Surfas True light that I was using for Randos. My average ride time is about 2-3 hours. I am riding on country surface roads 15-25 mph.

I made the mistake of mounting my Surface upside down from the bottom of my bars. On a 200K it stared to pour down. The light all of a sudden wouldn't turn off unless I pulled the battery. Now it's just dead.

I have about $120 budget. My wife will kill me for $120 so I can't push that.

I have it narrowed down to 3.

So far I am liking the Expilion bc I don't have to screw around with battery packs. For the most part I think the Expilion can handle my daily rides and I can bring a USB charger on a Rando for night rides.

Thougths? Am I on the right trail here?
