As winter's approach reduces the daylight available for early rides, I like to shift away from cereal, fruit, and bread type breakfasts towards a more liquid diet. Meal substitute drinks seem to digest faster. They may not, but it seems so. Thus, I feel as though I can work out sooner after a meal. I agree that breakfast is an important kick-start and will no longer skip it as I often did when younger.
