The ride in was warmer and sunnier than expected, with just a pleasantly challenging headwind. Didn't get enough sleep last night, so only 17.7mph avg speed going in today. I remembered to wear merino wool base-layer which kept me nice and warm riding in.

I stayed late at work, so traffic was heavier than usual, and I took the longer, calmer way home. I had a nice tailwind almost the whole way and I smashed the 15.8 mi with an avg of 21mph, 45min. Same time as if I had taken the shorter, usual way. A route change can do the legs good.

Super nice 50F on the way home, had to take the arm warmers off 4 miles from work. Only partly cloudy, and the birds are out singing again!
