"the saddle is meant to hold your weight.." Yes but the design is for a downward force not in the opposite direction. That being said, is there a way to connect to the seatpost or the rails of the saddle? Don't know how they attach. I assume it is a hook that is used on the back side of the saddle with the interface being the leather.
