I recently bought a new bottom bracket . My issue with it is the drive-side of the bottom bracket doesnt tighten all the way. It's atleast 3/4 in. However, the non-drive side ( left side ) cup tightens in all the way. What could be the issue ,how can i get it fixed , and is it ride-able? OP: Take everything back out and start over. First inspect the drive side threads after a thorough cleaning. If ok, then install the drive side cup first. Get it right first, all the way in and tightened to OEM specs first. Inspect that cup where it mates to the BB shell. There should be no space or gaps between the cup and the shell anywhere around the entire circumference.
When the drive side cup (aka Fixed Cup) is right, then proceed with the other steps.
