I have a laced Pro Classic with almost 17K miles. It's still like new with no sign of wear at the rivets. There's no benefit in shaving the skirts if the saddle is laced. The B17 used to be cheaper, but that has changed over the last 3 years.

The Pro is comfortable for me from day one, but is not fully broken in till the odo hits 1500 miles.
