Going with Ti spindles and axles can be something that might affect the bike's "useability" because they just aren't as strong as their steel counterparts. but I guess if you do not create as much power from your legs like Fignon, one might just might be safe enough! If you are not afraid to "push the envelope" you can even get an all aluminum or plastic headsets (mostly were made by our weenie hungry buddies in France) too and CF handlebars....
