I enjoyed doing Race the Lake around Lake Winnebago in Wisconsin before we moved out west. It's a race but also can be just rode also with stops and all traffic is redirected so no worrying about cars. Also there are stops throughout the ride with food(drinks, energy gels, bars, simple sandwiches, fruit, etc) bathrooms etc. It's a really nicely put together ride 90 miles race/ride. That's in August and the weather has never let down either. Another ride worth checking into.
