After making a general plea for...well, what you got?


The "1x10" thread is moving through phases of experimentation and discovery, trial and error, and now implementation of the 1x10 (meaning, a road drivetrain based around an 11-34 or 36 cassette and an mtb derailleur) for competitive medium-distance events.


The point is simple: arrive at a general inventory of the components that work best, and workarounds for modifications that need to be made. The options I myself am working with are superb, but they are also expensive and require a good deal of handiwork. There need to be others.


It is a purpose-driven thread, so if by chance you have any sort of authentic technical contribution to make - that would be cool and enormously appreciated. I'm way over my head, if that's not obvious.
