There is no way for us to tell, as we don't know the current length of your chain. If everything is OE then likely you will have to add links, but there's plenty of guidance online and in past posts in this forum about chain length and installation.

Incidentally, there are precious few riders who can make enough use of a 53 tooth chainwheel these days to justify the expense of a new crankset, given the predominance of 11 and 12 tooth cogs. On the other hand, if you are a time-trailer on a more classic bike with at least a 13 tooth small cog you may be an exception (53/13 at only 100 rpm is 33 mph).
