Bikes: too many bikes from 1967 10s (5x2)Frejus to a Sumitomo Ti/Chorus aluminum 10s (10x2), plus one non-susp mtn bike I use as my commuter

Campy's first freehub/cassette system was 8s sometime before 1997. It had a steel freehub (or Ti) with shallow splines similar to Shimano's. They introduced 9s in 97 or 98 initially using this same freehub, but switched to the current spline pattern and aluminum freehub almost immediately. Since 99 (or maybe 98), the freehub has remained the same for 9-11s.

So you're right, for 9-11s the freehubs are identical, the only exception is 8s, and the very rare 9s sprockets made for the 8s freehub.

EDIT- finally figured out your question, yes it was a typo, I meant the old 8s spline. I've since corrected it.
