Just a further comment. I wouldn't necessarily swap out the chain if it was relatively new and was the correct length. However the most important point to remember is that the chain length MUST work on the big big cross chaining ratio.

Every once in awhile someone suggests that you need only avoid cross chaining the big big combo if it won't work and they are very wrong. You need only make that mistake once in order to destroy the drivetrain and possibly the wheel. Al
