Athena is more like Shimano 105, both are called the workhorse groups, and Athena is not that much more expensive then what your looking at and if you go alloy you can get it a bit less expensive then the black version. Centaur is only $100 less then Athena alloy, why bother? While Chorus is $800 more and you'll never experience it's $800 worth if your not racing.
