I'm too stoned to dig out the citations, but:
1. don't we constantly hear about how a disproportionately large fraction of cycling fatalities are at night
2. didn't the NTSB or some other highway overlord publish something last year about one-sixth of all motorists after 10:00 P.M. are intoxicated, and half of those are high on pot?

Put them together and I would say it is likely that there could be dozens of incidents per year. Now, how many of them also involve white panel vans?
