Couldn't you use a bungee cord or two and lash it in back somewhere. I'd think it possible though not comfortable to carry it on your back, but I'm sure you've already thought of that. I did the Dempster last summer. Thought about but ended up leaving my guitar at home. It sure would have been fun to have in Carmacks I must say.
