Bikes: Panasonic '88 Dx3000, Specialized Hardrock ('06?)

what are your opinion on Panasonic bikes from around '88? I have the Dx3000 from that year, and I'm gonna convert it to fixed this summer.

(this isn't my bike, but its the same frame)
