The bike came standard with SRAM X7 Shifters and Rear Deraileur, plus Deore Front Deraileur. The original non-SRAM and Shimano Components all failed (snapped and broke) eg. Seat Post, seat post collar, saddle, brake levers, disc-brake callipers, pedals.
In relation to the reflection, it is the original reflective Cannondale Camo-design seals under clear coat. Sadly I can't photograph the incredible beauty of the Dupont Paintwork on this frame, (this is a 2007 model) which appears to be "BBQ" but when the sun hits it, reflects incredible metal fleck colours of blue and red.
I'm impressed with your bikes over the years. I remember you tested countless numbers of hybrids and MTB to get to this stage. I was a fan of your videos shot by your kids.
Oh...and you made the right choice with the Mavic Wheels.
Thanks, I can honestly say that what I've learned has been through trial & error. The "Hybrid Forum" and internet research, plus test riding lots of bikes. But I'm a slow learner
