Maybe if you are careless with your stuff. I have had my Oakley's for 3 years and they look brand new. Take them out of the hard case before a ride and clean them and put them back to store in hard case when not in use.
Damned straight. I'm lucky if I can even find my sunglasses when it's time to ride. Half the time I have to dig them out from under the seat.
