I never had to do that, but I've had a YouTube account for 2 years now, so maybe once you have a certain number of videos or have been a member for a certain length of time you don't have to "confirm" anything with YouTube?
Could be some truth to that. I received a message about a month ago that said something like "congratulations you have so many videos now so you........ blah blah blah". I didn't pay much attention to it cause I just load my little videos and be happy.
