The cassette has to overhang the freehub body by 1-2mm so the lockring can compress the cassette without bottoming on the face of the freehub body. In this way they are analogous to the threadless headset system where the stem/spacer stack must be taller than the steerer for the top cap to compress the headset.
You don't have to know and specific data, just add a spacer behind the cassette to push it out until it overhangs.
