She came from somewhere in Virginia, FYI, so perhaps you have seen her before. The seller seemed like a serious rider. I do not usually name my bikes, but I'm calling her "Red Rocket".

Ride is somewhat firm with very quick steering... moreso than I've been used to since I've been on my longer wheelbase cross bike a lot lately. Especially firm ride with the Mavic wheelset. Very responsive to input. See next answer for more.

She's 2008 vintage, the last of the CF LeMonds.... or any LeMonds for that matter. Frame is the "Triomphe Ultimate", which is the lightest, most expensive of the LeMond Min-Max CF frames. The rear section seems a little stiffer and more beefy than the regular Min-Max frames. You can see slight differences in the frame design if you look carefully. There aren't too many of these around I don't think.

Correct. This is the bike that's going to Italy this summer. Granny ring is 28 tooth and I'll probably take an 11-34 cassette along. There appear to be some pretty steep sections in some of the places I'm going. I can climb most anything around here (it is NOT as flat as you think) in 39 x 30 or 32 at most, but when I need easier gears I really need them. I know my limits.

Not OT at all. You took my meaning correctly, my friend.
