Lots of women bike commuting here. Rode behind two in the rain this morning on a short 6 mile RT to my son's elementary school with him.
Very pleased that I do see so many females pedaling around our part of town and most other parts of austin. Different parts of town do seem to have greater/less % of female cyclists.
The # has increased in the past 2-5 years.
I would ballpark the numbers around 40-45% female, 60-55% male, that I see around my regular cycling routes.
