Another BF poster described NOLA traffic perfectly: A Rat F***. I can't think of better terminology. A bike does set one free here. The city is compact so almost anyone can get across town in less than 30 minutes. I can be anywhere in roughly 20 minutes. Seems silly to even get in a car for a 20 minute trip, not including the traffic issue.
Thanks.
Not much challenge from traffic in Bunkie last time I visited there. Probably much less now that I-49 is done. Thanks for the shout out!
No it's not much of a challenge. It's just the way I like it. People around here aren't use to cyclist, it's almost unheard of around here. I get a lot of crazy looks while riding through town. The guys over here at the Firehouse give me a hard time about it also. Especially when I bought a helmet, they said I look like a nerd. I replied, go screw your self. Lol.....
