Here's a few from Huntington Beach, CA. Went to the County's annual 'Bikefest'; its a 'kick-off' promotion that the local public transportation agency runs to get folks to bike to work/school/around neighborhoods during May ("bike to work" month). I took a few pics along the way.
Picture of the white house is the Newland House. Originly built in 1898, it was the home to a local farmer/rancher. Now owned by the HB Historical Society. Also a bar behind it theat the City owns and leases out for speical events - 'bridezillas' almost kill each other to reserve this place for their springtime weddings.
City Gym and Pool. Built in 1930(?) and rebuilt in 2000. Its got a basketball court, 25 yard pool, gamerooms/MP rooms, locker rooms with showers, and a kitchen.
Bikefest. Next to the HB Pier (you'll ahve to go on the Ciy's website to see pics of that). Kind of small, but the Los Angeles area in general is a driver's paradise, so not too many bike commuters (like me!). Lots fo freebies from vendors (Trek, REI) and a few nonprofits promoting bicycle use. Strange, but the City (never one to miss a 'green' promo opportunity)
didn't promote this on their website
