Yeah I'm aware roadies can keep on consuming money on upgrades much more so when compared with a MTB.
This bike would only be 'for show' as a secondary commuter (occasional Sunday rides and the like), that's why the 'flashy' wheels would be a big part of it, and the group could be a secondary concern, once I'd get the stock one worn out. Is there a brand or a line of 'flashy' road rims out there, but without the prohibitive price tag? (not interested in shelving off grams or over-the-top performance, but rather some durable and good looking rims, easy on the wallet).
