Today I rode the Long Beach TdC. BeachGard, PhotoJoe, Trojan Horse and I rode together from the Port O' Calls refueling stop to the very end of the ride.
It was great riding with my C&A bros (and sistah).
Or motto was: No one gets left behind (actually, if truth be told, our real motto was: "Oh Dear God please no more hills or headwinds")
True to our motto, we all stayed together for the ride. Yes, MountainGoat aka Trojan Horse, bolted up every incline along the way (even driveways). And yes PhotoJoe flew on the downhills. And because BeachGrad was the only one with enough sense to memorize the route slip, she got to lead on the last leg of the ride (well, she once lived in the LB area so she was pre-familiar with the route).
For the most part, however, we waited around if any one us got too far ahead of the pack so we could ride together as a group.
Today, we were the Three Musketeers (plus one, me!): All for one and one for all.
