Aero rims are actually heavier than most. The range I gave earlier is realistic. Some lower cost ones are Asian imports with no real name, I hear November makes a decent rim. I'm sure there are others. But most reputable brands start at $600 /rim. I cant recommend any to you. Actually I dont endorse your idea of a show commuter in the shape of a 'hot-or-not' road bike.

I recommend hitting up Ebay. I saw several red Specialized bikes listed today actually. Used wheels are a dime a dozen. likely can get this assembled at <50% since it is not your pimary bike. I thought this was something you wanted to do as your primary cummutor quickly.
