Honestly, I bet you could keep most of your existing parts for this conversion, since I did a very similar conversion on my '88 Bianchi. If the Cyclone II is the long-cage version, it'll work. See if someone in the C&V forum would be interested in swapping a Sugino 130mm BCD triple crank for yours straight across, and then you'll just need to buy the 30 or 32 tooth granny ring. Chances are good that the stock BB leaves enough frame clearance to add the granny ring, but if not, a slightly-longer cartridge BB isn't expensive.
