I'm currently running a triple with a 7 speed HG hub, my derailuers originally were shimano 105 (1055 series, so 6 speed I believe), the FD worked alright but not great, I think if you get a 7 speed chain you'll be fine for most cranksets chain width, and in my experiences cyclones have tons of reach so I'd imagine all you really need is a chain and a triple.
